Booking and Payment Terms
Booking Process
To book a skip with Muswell Hill Skip Hire, you can follow these simple steps:

- Select your preferred delivery date and time.
- Provide necessary contact and location details.
- Confirm your booking and make the required payment.
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.
Payment Terms
Payments can be made using various methods, including credit/debit cards, PayPal, or bank transfers. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon.
All prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT. Additional services may incur extra charges, which will be communicated during the booking process.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Customer
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this period will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total booking cost.
Cancellation by Company
Muswell Hill Skip Hire reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions or logistical issues. In such cases, a full refund will be issued, or you may opt to reschedule your booking at no additional cost.
Use of Skip Bins
Permitted Use
Our skip bins are intended for the disposal of general household and commercial waste. Permitted items include:
- Household rubbish
- Construction debris
- Garden waste
- Non-hazardous materials
Please ensure that all items are securely bagged and placed within the skip to facilitate safe and efficient disposal.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be disposed of in our skip bins:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, asbestos, paint)
- Electrical appliances
- Tyres and batteries
- Medicines and pharmaceuticals
- Any illegal or controlled substances
Disposing of prohibited items will result in immediate termination of service and potential legal action.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery Process
Our team will deliver the skip bin to the specified location at the agreed-upon time. Please ensure that access is clear and that there is sufficient space for the skip to be placed. Any obstructions may result in additional charges.
Collection Process
Once you have filled the skip bin, please notify us to arrange for collection. Our team will remove the skip promptly and ensure that all waste is handled in accordance with environmental regulations.
Responsibility and Liability
Damage to Property
Muswell Hill Skip Hire is not liable for any damage caused to your property or surrounding areas during the delivery or collection of the skip bin. We recommend informing us of any potential access issues in advance to mitigate risks.
Injury and Accidents
While we take all necessary precautions, accidents can occur. We advise users to handle materials safely and adhere to all safety guidelines provided. Muswell Hill Skip Hire is not responsible for any injuries sustained during the use of our skip bins.
Insurance
All skip rentals include basic insurance coverage. However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that no prohibited items are disposed of in the skip. Any fines or penalties resulting from illegal disposal will be the customer's responsibility.
